TCI has an immediate need for a Windows Systems Engineer in Offutt, AFB, NE (NO REMOTE)This is not a Corp2Corp opportunityThis is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hireIn addition to competitive, market-rate based pay, TCI provides all our Consultants with Comprehensive Medical/Dental Insurance, 401k, Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability benefitsTHIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE; ELIGIBLE FOR TOP SECRET / SCIMUST BE ONSITE IN OFFUTT, AFB, NESUMMARY This position is a Windows Systems Engineering position with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Windows server and end user client implementations for enterprise networksThe Windows Systems Engineer is responsible for all technical phases of projects in a diverse technological environmentThis responsibility includes the development of project requirements, technical solution, design documentation, security accreditation and implementation plansRESPONSIBILITIESo Perform requirements analysis, functional analysis, systems design, and implementation of the clients Windows Server and Virtualization requirements.
o Builds hardware and software technical solutions based on submitted requirements documents and customer interviews.
o Develops project definitions and engineering estimates to include cost estimates and cost benefit analyses.
o Manages/performs implementation for technical solutions built.
o Owns the systems they implement and provides response to questions/concerns with regard to these systems.
o Provide inputs on technical refresh and life cycle planning for assigned systems.
o Participate in all phases of the development life cycle with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing and acceptance phases.
o Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results.
o Prepares purchase requests and configuration management documentation.
o Build Windows servers and ensure security requirements are met, test servers/systems/software/hardware, and integrate/install them into the production environment.
o Build Virtualized Environments and ensure security requirements are met, test servers/systems/software/hardware, and integrate/install virtualized servers and clients into the production environment.
o Performs performance monitoring and provides documentation of issues and recommendations to Service Delivery team.
o Attend meetings with the Government and ITCC II.
o Weekly Status updates for key stakeholders of the requirement REQUIREMENTSo Must have a minimum of an active Secret Security ClearanceTop Secret / SCI preferred.
o Bachelors Degree in a relevant field and 5-7 years of relevant experience, OR a Masters Degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience, OR a PhD and 0-2 years of relevant experience9
years of relevant work/military experience in lieu of degree.
o Certifications Information Assurance Technical Level II (or higher) within 180 days of hire is required (e.
g.
, Security
CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
o Experience as a Windows Systems Administrator.
o Operational experience with Microsoft Windows server 2012/2016/2019, that include all windows roles (exWeb servers, SQL servers, Exchange, etc.
).
o Experience or a working understanding of system integration within a diverse technology environment (hardware, software, network, and database).
o Work is on-site only; no remote.
o Must currently possess a minimum of an active Secret Security Clearance; Top Secret Security clearance is preferred and may be required at some pointPreferred (but not required) Qualificationso Operational experience with Virtual and Modern Desktop using Microsoft windows 10/11 client Operating System (OS).
o Operational experience or a working understanding using VMware VSphere 6.
x technology and higher.
o Operational experience or a working understanding using vRealize Automation and vRealize Operations technology.
o Operational experience a working understanding with VMware software defined firewall NSX.
o Working understanding of system engineering processes and tasks including requirements gathering, creating a technical solution, implementation, and test/verification.
o Working understanding using reverse engineering, project planning, identifying key project constraints.
o Working understanding with system security accreditation, system hardening using Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
o Operational experience with physical and virtual server provisioning.
