TCI has an immediate need for a Windows Desktop Administrator in Offutt AFB, NE (NO REMOTE)This is not a Corp2Corp opportunityThis is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hireIn addition to competitive, market-rate based pay, TCI provides all our Consultants with Comprehensive Medical/Dental Insurance, 401k, Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability benefitsTHIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCESUMMARY This role requires flexibility to support issues or planned activities both during core business hours as well as after-hours and weekends as neededWindows Desktop Services facilitates timely and efficient desktop service for nearly 10,000 combined PC, laptop and virtual sessions spanning across three networks, stand alone, and other use PCs in multiple locationsRESPONSIBILITIESo This team is responsible for providing Level 2 and 3 problem resolution for all desktop and software components on the LAN with the exception of Break/Fix hardware actionsThis role also is working towards engineering in operations for new software and systems in the facilitiesBuilding new and system upgrades from the ground up.
o Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting system hardware, software, virtual system sessions, security tools, and operating system issues.
o Build, update, maintain Blade PC platform.
o Create and maintain procedural documentation and train junior staff as necessary.
o Support high-level, (NAOC/ABNCP/Exec Comms) computing requirements.
o Install and troubleshoot printers/print queues, scanners and Multi-Function Devices.
o Provide 24X7, and remote location support as needed.
o Work ticket queues and document resolutions completely and accurately.
o Adhere to enterprise architecture by following best practices.
o Utilize both Active Directory and Active Roles Services to monitor and control, users, devices, permissions.
o Perform Enterprise VDI management, VMWare Horizon View, VMWare vSpherre Web Client.
o Distribute software to PCs utilizing SCCM, virtual sessions connection, or by desktop visit to hand load.
o Analyze alerts from various monitoring tools and take appropriate actions during troubleshootingREQUIREMENTSo MUST have an active Top Secret Security Clearance.
o Bachelors Degree in a related field and 2 to 4 years of Windows Desktop Administration, OR a Masters Degree and 0 to 2 years of experience.
o With a High School Diploma only, 8 to 10 years of Windows Administration experience is required.
o Experience in software installation.
o Laptop/PC maintenance and service.
o Experience with VMWare, ARS, Ivanti, Remedy.
